Farm Bureau foundation announces 40 scholarships

Forty undergraduate students from California who are entering or attending colleges or universities have received Rustici Livestock and Rangeland Scholarships. California Farm Bureau Scholarship Foundation is funding a total $145,000 for the scholarship winners. The Rustici program benefits two-year college or four-year university students intending DPR seeks public input on pesticide applications The California Department of Pesticide Regulation will hold three public work- shops in late June to collect feedback to inform the next phase of design and devel- opment for the state’s pesticide application notification system. California will be the first state to de- velop a system to provide the public more transparent and equitable access to information in advance of pesticide applications. Virtual workshops will be held on Zoom from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 27; 10 a.m. to noon on June 28; and 6 to 8 p.m. on June 29. Workshops will feature an overview of the proposed design for the statewide noti- fication system and an opportunity for the public to provide input. Registration is not required to attend.
