Thank you to our sponsors! 102 nd ANNUAL MEETING

Message from California Farm Bureau President Jamie Johansson

The 102nd California Farm Bureau Annual Meeting was also the first. For the first time, our members gathered virtually—via computer, tablet or smartphone—rather than in person. Throughout its history, Farm Bureau and our members have had to innovate and change with the times. Through the Great Depression, World War II, the turmoil of the 1960s, the farm crisis, recessions, droughts, floods—and now, the COVID-19 pandemic—Farm Bureau has endured by providing its members with the knowledge and services our members need to survive during crises and be ready to thrive when the crises pass. Despite all the challenges, we are Still Farming—the theme of this year’s virtual meeting. We’re proud of how county Farm Bureaus and the California Farm Bureau have stepped

up to serve our members during the pandemic, maintaining the services you have come to depend on. We appreciate our members for all you have done to keep essential food and farm products flowing to market. This resiliency stands at the core of what Farm Bureau is: an active and engaged membership organization committed to securing the future of California farmers and ranchers. And, on these pages, we thank the sponsors for the Annual Meeting, who helped us pivot to a virtual format in order to provide Farm Bureau members with what you’ve come to expect from previous meetings—learning, policy discussions, connections with old and new friends—in an altogether different way. Our virtual Annual Meeting featured stimulating speakers, a variety of relevant breakout sessions and, new this year, continuing-education courses—all intended to point Farm Bureau members toward successful farm- ing and ranching in 2021. We recognized county FarmBureaus and individual members for outstanding service, presented the Leopold Conservation Award for outstanding stewardship of private land and also presented the first California Farm Dog of the Year award. Thank you to Farm Bureau members and our sponsors for making the 102nd California Farm Bureau Annual Meeting a success.
